Founded in 1983, Information Station Specialists is the nation's sole domestically owned source for Information Radio Station and Advisory Sign systems that allow public agencies to broadcast safety and service messages to motorists.

What May Be Broadcast on Information Radio Stations
If you operate an ALERT AM, Information Station, ITS6000 Highway Advisory Radio Station, RadioSTAT or RoadRunnR Portable Advisory Radio Station, it is important to know what may (and may not) be broadcast, according to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Each of these stations is licensed under FCC Rules, Part 90 (90.242), "Travelers Information Stations," which state permitted content.

NOAA Weather Radio rebroadcasting on Travelers Information Stations is not addressed in the FCC rules for this service but has been objected to by the FCC in some instances.
